Centrifugal Decanters

Pieralisi designs its centrifugal decanters to meet the industry's highest requirements. Capable of processing products with a high solids concentration, they deliver efficient, consistent clarification. Their performance relies on precision manufacturing, high centrifugal force and precise control of process parameters: flow rate, differential speed, separation levels, as well as the product's intrinsic properties — density, viscosity and particle size.

The drum is driven by a main motor connected to the machine's horizontal shaft. The centrifugal force generated is directly proportional to the rotation speed and the diameter of the drum. The product enters through the feed pipe, is carried to the centre of the drum by a dedicated diffuser, then set in rotation. This acceleration causes a clean separation of the solid and liquid phases.
